OVERVIEW
Hikeish is a black owned program in collaboration with Salomon dedicated to making the outdoors accessible to all. This event is a yearly hike in the tri-state area dedicated to reconnecting people with nature and art. In 2025, it was in collaboration with Gore-Tex. We were asked to design an 18x24" poster, a printed invite, social media assets, a sticker, and an activity zine for the attendees to do on the train ride to the hike.

THE QUESTION
How do we make this event match the branding of all 3 collaborators, while also making the event successful and memorable for the attendees?

THE GOAL
Design an identity and activation for an event between Salomon and their close partners, Goretex & Hikeish that makes all people feel excited about the outdoors.

THE SOLUTION
Utilizing a vintage postcard design and handwriting makes the invitation feel friendly and inviting to everyone. We took imagery from upstate New York and iconography from the hike itself to create an identity that is both interesting and an activation of the brands. We featured things that are tangible, like postcards and film photogrpaphy, in order to connect people to the tangibility of the outdoors.
