This project was done in collaboration with Sydney DeJong, Abby Weyand, Graicee Gibby, Sara Claypool, Ava Blakeley, and Ben Evjen
OVERVIEW
Twice per year, the Shaw Gallery at Weber State exhibits senior art student work. We were tasked with designing the event identity for the Spring 2025 exhibit.
THE QUESTION
How do we create an exhibit identity that represents a student exhibition and excites patrons of the gallery?
THE GOAL
Create a motion graphic to be projected during the event, wall mural, posters, stickers, tote bags, and social/digital graphics.
THE SOLUTION
With this theme, we wanted to create something that was made by our hands. Choosing to experiment with textures and different media. Resonance means "A powerful or lasting impact, where an idea, feeling, or experience echoes within someone."
Developing a grid system and expirimenting with texture using pastels
Painting the mural
Stickers as a take-home for the featured artists and patrons of the gallery
